I remember a time when my brother and I (I must have been around 7 at the time) were getting to bed. Something happened (perhaps one of us hit their head, I’m not sure) and my dad said “crash”. We couldn’t stop laughing for about half an hour after that. I suppose the bottom line is: foreign languages can be hilarious for kids for completely unexplainable reasons.
