House Update
March 18th, 2007
It’s been awhile since I’ve posted pictures of our house. Here are a few of the completed outside. We are still waiting on a couple of inside details to finish up, and a bit more unpacking before posting interior photos.
Here’s today’s sample:

Terah is posting some of our photos of Jacob on her blog today as well.

Heh, and I have been meaning to try it out at some point too. So the opportunity for confusion persists!

outside of the house is looking nice, can have the home feeling. But the kitchen i suggested to put the oven below which is build into the cabinet and the kitchen’s colour is all white look like a piece of thing. i suggested you use glass on the cabinet so that it look high class and also not make the kitchen look like a piece of thing. sometimes fully wood does not make a thing looking nice. atleast we must have other thing t make the kitchen look so attractive and each part also have thier attractive place, even just a cabinet also can make it so nicely and attractive.

Wow, the result is impressive, John!
I love old houses, and have been enjoying your farm blog post series. Soon, time to enjoy it!

Marilyn and I are enamored with the kitchen. We have been talking about this topic. And white is what we always come back to concerning cabinets. We love it.
A masterful job of renovating J and T. Congrats.

Thanks for the comments, everyone (and for the jail comment, Cliff; I completely agree with you on that)
We’re really happy about the kitchen. I never expected kitchen cabinets to make me excited, but these have. I hope we’ll get some indoor pictures taken in a few days to show it now that it actually has a floor as well ;-)

The tradeoff of the porch swing for a new kitchen is one that most would make. You could add a gazebo with a porch swing to resurrect that memory and provide a place for that older person when she comes back for another visit.

I just stumbled across your site. Done a lot of nice work to your old farmstead.
